📣 Last month, ESJ threw open its doors for a packed 6th Form Open Evening 🎓 Students explored subjects, pathways, enrichment, and spoke with staff, students and returning alumni about life at ESJ 📈 With KS5 progress in the top 1% nationally, the buzz & energy was incredible!

Enhanced Curriculum

Community Service

All Year 12and 13 students are given the opportunity, time and support to undertake community service either within school or out in the community. We believe this is a very worthwhile undertaking as students can. Students organise their own placements and ‘typical’ placements include:

  • Working in a care home,
  • Primary school reading
  • Volunteering in a charity shop
  • Lower school mentors
  • Supporting pupils in lessons
  • Charity committee


Academic

We offer a range of Academic Enrichment opportunities:

  • The Extended Project Qualification during enrichment on a Wednesday
  • Aim High Programme: Students applying for Oxbridge and competitive university courses join the programme and meet three times a half term. The programme covers critical thinking and super curricular and will take you through the application and interview process.
  • Medic Mentor Programme for those applying for Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Sciences
  • Maths and English Resit lessons

Wednesday afternoon’s are for enrichment. Students can join a variety of groups and clubs. They can enjoy:
