School Buses

 

School Buses - September 2026 onwards

Central Connect are pleased to provide all school bus transport into Epping St Johns for the 2026-2027 academic year having provided service 13A for Waltham Abbey pupils since 2020. Our St Johns network will comprise of four direct buses onto the school site daily from Waltham Abbey (13A), from Ongar, Abridge & Theydon Bois (19A) and from North Weald (13/13A - two buses).

Travelling outside of the designated school hours

For extra-curricular clubs or any other occasions when your child is travelling outside the school's usual bus timetable, students can still use their bus passes on the services listed above throughout the day. These buses stop within a short walking distance of the school on Epping High Road.

Accessing other bus routes

Pupils can also travel on services 18, 20, 21, 22 & 31 which provide additional services to/from Epping throughout the day and stop a short walk from the school on Epping High Road.

Entitled passes/non-entitled

Entitled scholars will be provided a pass which can be used on term-time weekdays only. For non-entitled pupils, Under-19 pass can be purchased from our main network fares with Single, Day, Week, Month, 3 Month and Year tickets available. Our 'Everywhere Essex' zone covers all journeys into the school but those living a little closer in Epping Green, Epping Upland, Thornwood, Coopersale, Theydon Bois, Abridge or North Weald can take advantage of our ‘Epping Forest Zone’ tickets which offer even greater value for regular travellers.
