High Achieving Pupils (HAPs)
Our HAP provision is currently re-energising the importance of stretch and challenge throughout the school and some exciting new programmes were launched last year to encourage our High Ability Pupils (HAPs) to raise their aspirations.
Some of the upcoming projects running this year include:
HIGHER PROJECT QUALIFICATION (HPQ)
Students in Years 10 and 11 are encouraged to participate in completing a HPQ (Higher Project Qualification). Under Mr Tooze’s guidance, students can complete a study or investigation into any area they wish. This is an accredited externally examined piece of work by an exam board and will go towards their final Year 11 outcomes.
