GCSE Results 2026
Posted: 20th August 2026Year 11 students at Epping St John’s Church of England School are celebrating a stellar set of GCSE results today, following the release of this summer’s examination results.
This year’s cohort has demonstrated exceptional dedication, resilience and maturity, with many students surpassing expectations across a wide range of subjects. Academic highlights include 84% of students achieving a pass grade in English and 73% in Mathematics, marking further improvements on last year’s impressive outcomes.
Among the highest achieving students in Year 11 are:
- Ula Dvareckaite: Seven Grade 9s and one Grade 8.
- Harriet Ingall: Six Grade 9s and one Grade 7.
- Lily Masterson: Five Grade 9s, two Grade 7s and one Grade 6.
- Evie Brown: Three Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 7.
- Alexander Bobo: Four Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and three Grade 6s.
- Lucie Griffiths: Two Grade 9s and six Grade 8s.
- Magareth Oyetunji: One Grade 9, four Grade 8s, one Grade 6 and three Grade 5s.

“We are immensely proud of our Year 11 students today. These stellar results are a true reflection of their relentless hard work, focus and positive attitude throughout their GCSE journey. It has been a privilege to watch them grow into such dedicated, kind and ambitious young people.
“Achievements like these are always a team effort. I want to express my sincere gratitude to our parents and carers, whose unwavering encouragement and partnership have provided the foundation for our students to flourish. I also wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to our exceptional teaching staff, who consistently go above and beyond in every lesson and intervention to champion our young people.
“While these grades open exciting doors for the future, they represent only part of who our students are. This cohort has strong values, genuine empathy and bright futures ahead, and we are thrilled that so many will be continuing their journey with us in our Sixth Form.”
The school would like to congratulate all of its Year 11 students on their achievements and recognise the support of families, carers and staff throughout their GCSE journey.
Students will now take their next steps into further education, training and employment, with many continuing their studies at Epping St John’s Sixth Form as they pursue their individual ambitions.
