Donations to homeless charityPosted: 16th December 2020
Essential items and a few treats have been donated to homeless people by a school community.
Students, parents and teachers at Epping St John’s Church of England School have donated sleeping bags, rucksacks, toiletries and sweet treats to the Friends of Essex and London Homeless charity.
Eposi Ewome, assistant headteacher, said: “Due to the coronavirus pandemic, lots more people are sleeping rough due to loss of jobs.
“These items will go a long way to put a smile on people’s faces; people who didn’t think they would receive anything this Christmas.
“Supporting the homeless is an annual event for Epping St. John’s school.”
