Zoo enclosures develop science knowledgePosted: 29th March 2019
Zookeepers of the future researched and built animal habitats.
Year 7 students at Epping St John’s School worked together to build their own zoo enclosures.
Sonia Ahmed, director of science, said: “Students had to choose an animal to research and then create a habitat for that animal. The project was set as homework as part of British Science Week.
“What they produced is amazing!”
Stephen Hehir, executive head, said: “It is so refreshing to see students getting excited about the world of science and completing a practical activity to boot.
“Well done to our young scientists and to all staff connected with this fantastic venture.”
