Blog - Cornwall Trip
9am this morning saw us setting off from Epping on an adventure to Cornwall to have fun in the surf! After seven hours on a bus, two stop offs and copious amounts of sugar consumed by all we made it here and after a quick dinner of chicken burgers and chips we headed straight for the beach and our first surfing lesson.
A brief struggle with wetsuits later and we were ready to hit the water... the very, very cold water and getting surfing the waves. The screams were loud but everyone got in, even those who were nervous and worried gave it a go and everyone had an incredible time in the sea.
9pm and we were ready to trek back up the hill and to a lovely warm shower and bed ready for a fun filled and active day tomorrow so stay tuned and keep checking out Twitter to see the updates and photos!
Well after an early morning wake up call, in the form of some overly happy teachers, and a lovely filling breakfast we set off for Tolcorne beach for a day of fun in the sun.
150 steps, and a lot of asking for a lift, later we arrived on a beautiful beach and set about flying into action. There was zorbing, surfing, bodyboarding, volleyball, football, trapezing and archery to name a few of the activities.
It was an action packed day and everybody had a fantastic time, even the teachers got stuck in and tried their hand at some surfing!
By 4pm the time had come for a quick trot back to the hotel and a clean up and shower before heading back to the beach for fish and chips and yet more volleyball and football before the final journey up all of those stairs and back to the hotel to get ready for bed and catch the end of the Football!
Keep checking for our next update tomorrow with more pics and fun adventures to fill you in on!
Our final full day in sunny Cornwall began with a coach trip to Swanpool where we discovered the joys of paddleboarding, kayaking and cliff jumping and after struggling into our wetsuits we were ready to get started.
Much fun was had and time sped by, in fact before we knew it, it was time for ice creams (only real Cornish ice cream of course) and a lovely nap on the coach ride home. Upon arrival back at the hotel there was just time to head for a shower and change and maybe a power nap for one or two of the teachers and then it was time to head across for a lovely dinner.
What's to do after dinner, a walk to the beach of course, and a lot of running around the beach to wear them out a bit! Which was followed by a quick stroll back for pizza and packing and a lot more excited chatter it was finally time to draw the curtains on Wednesday and try to get some sleep so we're ready for our last morning of activities and showing off our, by now superior, surfing moves!
Goodbye for now!
